How long does a strip and seal take?
A 100m² floor is typically a single overnight job (strip → 4 coats → burnish). Larger floors or those needing repair are sequenced over two nights to keep the space usable during business hours.
How long do we need to stay off the floor?
Plan for 6–8 hours between final coat and foot traffic, and 24 hours before heavy traffic or moving furniture back. We schedule overnight so most clients return to a finished floor with no downtime.
What is strip and seal flooring?
Strip and seal is a maintenance process for resilient (vinyl, lino, marmoleum) floors. The old wax or acrylic seal is chemically and mechanically removed, the substrate cleaned, and fresh seal coats applied to restore gloss and protect the floor.
